Saint Mark's Campanile is the bell tower of Saint Mark's Basilica, situated in the Piazza San Marco. It stands at a height of 98.6 in the corner of the arcadeds Procuratie Nuove that links the Piazza with the Piazzetta. The campanile is so high that is was used in order to approach the ships as a lighthouse in order to lead them home.
