Deze marinade is ook geschikt voor tahoe (tofu) en tempeh. Extra zout toevoegen hoeft niet perse in deze marinade. In de sambal oelek zit zout en de eetlepel sojasaus is het 'zout' in dit recept. Gebruik voor deze marinade een lekkere dikke ketjap want dit bepaalt de smaak van de saté.
